Mr Croll holds a degree in Mining Engineering from the University of Witwatersrand in Johannesburg.  He commenced his career with the De Beers Group of Companies and over a 17 year period worked at a number of the company's open-cut and underground operations in operational, project, technical and senior management roles. He spent the next 3 years with Anglo Platinum as General Manager - Mechanisation, thereafter becoming the Technical Services Manager at the Rustenburg Platinum Mines, before moving to Australia in 2005 with Consolidated Minerals, initially as General Manager – Underground Operations and since March 2006, as the Chief Operating Officer. Mr Croll joined Kimberley in February 2008.
